Remy Gardner terlihat sangat siap menghadapi balapan Moto2 Portugal dengan memimpin sesi Warm-Up di Sirkuit Algarve, Portimao. Pembalap Red Bull KTM Ajo ini mencatat laptime 1 menit 42,447 detik, unggul 0,132 detik dari rekan satu timnya, Raul Fernandez.

Sementara itu, peraih pole Sam Lowes menempati posisi ketiga, diikuti Aron Canet dan Marco Bezzecchi yang masing-masing menempati posisi keempat dan kelima. Di Giannantonio menjadi satu-satunya pembalap yang tidak mencatatkan waktu karena masalah pada motornya.
