Menyusul hujan yang turun pada awal sesi MotoGP, latihan bebas kedua Moto2 San Marino di Sirkuit Misano juga digelar dengan kondisi trek basah. Kali ini giliran Marco Bezzecchi yang mencatatkan laptime tercepat, 1 menit 50,168 detik.

Pembalap yang dikaitkan dengan promosi ke proyek VR46 MotoGP itu mengungguli Augusto Fernandez dan Somkiat Chantra, yang terjatuh pada beberapa menit terakhir sesi. Sementara itu, Thomas Luthi yang memimpin FP1 turun menjadi P12 pada sesi sore.
