Bagnaia's 1:30.619 is the top time. He is only 0.315s short of the lap time which earned him pole position on Saturday.

Jorge Martin, by the way, as predicted, has not tested anything of significance today. He is exiting Ducati for Aprilia next year.

The Tech3 rookie is third in the overall standings, and has completed over 30 laps today.

A tail unit and an exhaust are among the updated parts that Acosta is testing today.

Bagnaia has edged Bastianini's best time. The red Ducatis sit on top of the timesheet.

Fabio Quartararo is P8 and Alex Rins 12th. A good afternoon outing for the Yamahas so far.

Around 90 minutes left.

The Beast posts a 1:30.985 time before nipping back into his pit box.

Meanwhile, Raul Fernandez is a busy man this afternoon. Today is the first time he will test a '23 and a '24 bike back-to-back. He'll be hoping to fine-tune his machinery for next week's return to racing.

The KTM rider is in action now. He didn't appear in the morning session.

Miller and Augusto Fernandez are sharing testing duties on the same bike today, doing a session each.

MotoGP champion sets a 1:31.530 to go top of the pile.

"I am struggling to stop the bike. A lack of grip. 

"Which is strange because it’s one of the most high-grip tracks of the year. We are struggling. We’re not at the level of our rivals. 

"We have ideas to try, to change the setting for the next round here. I don’t think we have many new parts here, but we’ll see."

Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez are only doing half-a-day each today for KTM. After all, they both leave at the end of this year. Dani Pedrosa is testing their 2025 bits and bobs.

Fairly quiet at Yamaha. They have benefitted from extra tests due to the concessions rules, however they lost some of that time due to the weather.

Aprilia are determined to solve their problems with stopping.

There is a lot of aero being tested by the Hondas...

The afternoon session begins after a one-hour break.

Pedro Acosta and Alex Marquez both fell. They are both okay.

Jorge Martin set the best lap but Pedro Acosta soon improved upon that.

One hour remains until a break. The afternoon session will follow.

Brad Binder explained: "From what I understand, Pol Espargaro is on quite a different package.

"Priority No1 is to try that, test that, see what my first impression is of the package that Pol has been working on.

"Secondly, it would be great if we can improve, and find things that help us to improve right now. It’s a long season. Anything we can find to help us this season would be much appreciated."

Fabio di Giannantonio will sit out today's test as he recovers from a shoulder injury. He's hoping to be fit for the next round in two weeks.

Joan Mir and Luca Marini - who both missed yesterday's race - are feeling okay after their first laps today.

Everyone has posted a lap time apart from Marc Marquez, Franco Morbidelli and Jack Miller.

“I know we'll try aerodynamic things and chassis, because we need to change big things to make well the bike,” Zarco said.

“The project at the moment, this 2024 project, doesn't work at all. I mean, it's not competitive. So we need to go in another direction to open new doors.”

The Aprilia rider went down at Turn 12. He's alright.

He later shot to the top of the timesheet with a 1:32.731 lap!
