BSB: Honda Racing UK unveil iconic tri-colour 2021 livery

Honda Racing UK head into the 2021 British Superbike Championship with a new livery after the team unveiled their new striking CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. 

Last year’s all black look that saw Glenn and Andrew Irwin take four wins combined has been replaced by the traditional Honda Racing Corporation colours.  

That means Honda Racing UK returns to its roots and features the iconic Tri-Colour livery, with the addition of a carbon fibre mudguard, belly pan and rear hugger, which can be purchased separately through Honda Genuine Parts for the road going machine. 

While not identical, the new livery for 2021 shares similarities with that of their WorldSBK team.

Fans will be able to spot the continuation of long-standing partnerships with Akrapovič and Castrol, as well as Performance Parts, Close Brothers, Nova Racing and Datatool, with a new sponsor onboard for the season, RK Chains. 

Following last year’s title challenge, Glenn Irwin will once again lead the team and be pushing for a first BSB crown, while Japanese riders Takumi Takahashi and Ryo Mizuno will be alongside the Brit. 

Takahashi and Mizuno will be making their debuts in the series this year, with Takahashi competing as a HRC contracted rider, while Mizuno will be part of the Honda Superbike Challenge program. 

Irwin goes into his second year with the team and has looked impressive during pre-season testing - fastest at Silverstone. The final test ahead of next month’s season opener at Oulton Park is on Tuesday 8 June, Donington Park.

Tom Neave also joined the three BSB riders on stage for the team presentation as he will be representing Honda Racing UK in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.
