Rotek to miss Brands finale
Rotek Racing have been forced to withdraw from this weekend's Brands Hatch finale after running out of time in repairing their Audi S3's damage suffered from Silverstone.
The Audi-customer teams regular driver Robb Holland suffered heavy damage last time out Silverstone's third and final race of the day, which left Rotek in a race against time in preparing the car for the final round.
Former BTCC-runner Tony Gilham was set to make his comeback this weekend after it was confirmed at Silverstone he would take over the driving reins for the Rotek squad at Brands Hatch.
Further work needed to enforce the S3's structural integrity following Holland's Silverstone clash means Gilham's comeback story has been temporarily put on hold.
In a statement on the BTCC's official website, TOCA have said they are satisfied with the teams attempts in repairing their Audi S3 to meet entry obligations and has confirmed Rotek's withdrawal as a result of force majeure.
