Support Our Paras Racing will contest the remainder of the 2015 British Touring Car Championship season with just the sole Infiniti Q50 driven by Derek Palmer.

The struggling rookie BTCC squad's latest addition, Max Coates, was forced to step down from his drive after failing to gather the necessary sponsorship.

Coates' void meant the team could not fulfill the TBL license agreement, which stipulates each entrant cannot exceed more than one driver per season - except in the case of Force Majeure - meaning TOCA were forced to revoke the second cars license.

Paras Racing's team principal Derek Palmer Snr was naturally disappointed by the outcome but accepted the decision made by TOCA.

"It's a major disappointment for the team that Max failed to deliver the sponsorship package he had pledged and as a result we have had one of our TOCA BTCC licences cancelled for the remainder of 2015." said Palmer Snr.

"We fully accept the decision made by TOCA. For the remaining five rounds of this season's BTCC, we will concentrate on ensuring we maximise the performance of the No22 Infiniti Q50, which will continue to be driven by Derek Palmer."

The Infiniti squad will continue to field the sole Q50 of Palmer Jnr for the rest of the season.
