Scott transferred to hospital for further checks
Following his heavy FP1 Silverstone shunt, Team BMR's Warren Scott has been transferred to the local hospital for further medical checks.
Warren Scott will undergo further medical checks at the John Radcliffe Hospital after the Team BMR owner driver suffered a huge high speed accident during the first British Touring Car Championship practice at Silverstone.
The Volkswagen CC driver had set the third quickest time of FP1 but the 43-year old then hit the wall at Copse Corner with three-minutes of the session still to go.
Whilst inflicting massive front-end damage to his BMR Volkswagen, Scott - citing lower back pain - had to be carefully extracted from the car by the emergency crew and was immediately sent to the circuit's medical centre.
Following that initial assessment, Scott will now travel to the local hospital, where he will undergo an X-ray and further medical checks.
