The 17-year old came out on top of a thrilling multi-car fight for the top-spot after setting a 1 minute 27.113s lap during his final sequence of runs.

With pole position changing hands on multiple occasions during the final minutes, Harper eventually held off championship leader Dino Zamparelli by just 0.017s around the Grand Prix layout.

Indeed, in terms of the championship, it's advantage Zamparelli after the Redline Racing driver out-qualified his nearest title rival Tio Ellinas in second, while Ellinas will have to fight his way back towards his nemesis from the third row in sixth.

Lewis Plato and Tom Wrigley completed an all JTR second row of the grid in third and fourth, while George Gamble qualified in fifth ahead of the sixth placed Slidesports Engineering Porsche of Ellinas.

Tom Jackson was seventh ahead of Pro-Am pole-sitter Dan Vaughn in eighth. Vaughn was closely followed by his fellow Pro-Am runner Seb Perez in ninth, while Michael Caine marked his return to the series in tenth.

Slidesports Engineering Rory Collingbourne took a comfortable Am category pole position by 0.8s ahead of Team Parker Racing's Peter Mangion.
