Cook excluded from race one result, Butcher declared winner
Josh Cook has been excluded from the race one result after his BTC Racing Honda Civic Type R failed the post-race ride height check, promoting Rory Butcher to the BTCC win at Oulton Park.
Cook crossed the two-seconds ahead of Butcher during the opening encounter to take what would have been his first BTCC victory of the season.
The BTC Racing driver battled back from making a poor start behind the two Team BMW runners of Colin Turkington and Tom Oliphant and claimed the lead ahead of Butcher on the seventh lap of the race.

Cook's decisive move came at turn one when the Honda runner produced a bold move on Butcher after selling the Ford driver the dummy on the approach to the corner.
However, after failing the mandatory ride-height, the stewards have moved to amend the result, meaning the race's pole-sitter Butcher secures his first win of the season for Motorbase Performance.
The ruling also promotes Honda's Dan Cammish up a position into second, while Jake Hill gets his first podium of the year after moving up to third.
As such, Cook will now start the second race from the back of the field, with Butcher once again starting from pole position for the second race in succession.
The BTCC issued a brief statement and it reads as follows: "AMENDED RESULT: Josh Cook (#66 BTC Racing) has been excluded from the result after his car failed post-race ride height checks. Subsequently, Rory Butcher (#6 Motorbase Performance) is declared as the winner of Round 7 of the 2020 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship."
