Shedden promoted to race two win after Ingram penalty

Gordon Shedden has been declared the winner of the second British Touring Car Championship race at Donington Park after Tom Ingram is given a one-second post-race penalty.
The Excelr8 Motorsport driver finished first on the road during the second race after producing a sensational charge from 11th on the grid.
Ingram caught and passed pole-sitter Shedden on lap 10 of the race but was adjudged to have 'gained an unfair advantage' when passing the three-time champion at Coppice corner.
Consequently, Ingram's one-second penalty has reversed the positions between the two drivers, meaning Shedden picks up a milestone 50th career BTCC win.
The pair will still start race three from 11th and 12th, with Team BMW's Colin Turkington starting on pole position.
