Yvan Muller left Brands Hatch with his British Touring Car Championship lead intact, his reputation for possessing a fiery temper equally enhanced, and an eleven-day ban in his back pocket for his involvement in a pit-lane fracas with rival Anthony Reid.

Team Halfords tried a radical new set-up on its Peugeot 307 hot hatches at Silverstone for rounds seven and eight of the Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship, but things still didn't go the team's way.

Points for Leslie, podium for Bennett.
It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for Petronas Syntium Proton drivers David Leslie and Phil Bennett. Leslie managed to rallycross his way into the points whereas Bennett was forced into an unusual route on to the podium at Mondello Park.
