F1 Gossip: Brawn downplays chances of successful protest against Red Bull

- Ross Brawn admits he would be "amazed" if a protest against Red Bull's flexible rear wing at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix is successful.

Speaking to ESPN, Brawn believes the FIA has been consistent in its application of rules and any such protest by the likes of Mercedes or McLaren, will likely be unsuccessful.

"No, I don't think so,'' Brawn replied when asked if the result from Baku would be left in jeopardy. "I think the FIA have been pretty consistent with their approach," he added. "I'd be amazed if the stewards go against the opinion of the FIA."

- Lando Norris has clarified why he waved to teammate Daniel Ricciardo when lapping him during the Monaco Grand Prix. 

Some people thought Norris was making a point to Ricciardo, but the young Brit took time to set the record straight on his Twitch stream.

“Let me just get that point across because I see a lot of stories that people make up.”

- Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says his team welcomes the new challenges put to it by F1. 

In an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Wolff says Mercedes wants to prove it can win despite being slowed down by the powers that be.
