2025 F1 Canadian GP - Qualifying - As it happened

Leclerc is still top of the pile, 0.137s ahead of Norris. Alonso, Hamilton and Russell round out the top five.

The red flag has been cleared and FP3 is back underway. 

The session has been halted due to Piastri.

Piastri has brushed the wall at the final corner, causing a puncture. He's trundling around back to the pit lane. 

Leclec, Alonso, Stroll, Bearman, Gasly, Norris, Hamilton, Piastri, Ocon and Colapinto.

A 1m12.843s for Leclerc now to return to the top of the order. 

A 1m13.050s for Alonso to take top spot on the softs. That's 1.0s ahead of Leclerc.

A 1m14.831s, 0.1s ahead of Leclerc. Medium tyres for the top two. 

A 1m15.004s for Leclerc, 0.3s ahead of Colapinto.

There hasn't been a mad rush to get out on track with Colapinto, Stroll and Alonso completing installation laps. 

Final practice in Montreal is now underway.

It will be a busy FP3 for Leclerc after he missed the whole of FP2. This was because of his crash in first practice, which damaged the survival cell on his Ferrari. 

It was a busy Friday in Montreal. George Russell set the pace for Mercedes in FP2, topping the timesheets ahead of Lando Norris.

As it stands, it looks like the fight will be between Russell and the McLarens. Charles Leclerc missed most of the day after a shunt in FP1.
