2025 F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix - Friday Practice - As it happened

He's 0.3s off Norris' pace as he moves into second. 

Norris, Leclerc, Russell, Albon, Verstappen, Piastri, Hulkenberg, Antonelli, Lawson and Hamilton.

Leclerc improves but he's 0.5s off Norris. 

Hamilton has clipped the wall and has a puncture. 

He improves by over one-second at the top of the timesheets, setting a 1m42.704s.

Verstappen improves and goes into second, 0.043s off Norris. 

The session will resume in around one minute - 10.09am UK time.

There's been a bit of confusion about why the session hasn't resumed.

RB team principal Alan Permane has explained there's an issue with one of the kerbs.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "There is a problem with the kerb at turn 16 and 17. It wasn't debris, if was actually part of the kerb that came up."

Norris, Russell, Leclerc, Verstappen, Tsunoda, Hamilton, Hadjar, Albon, Hulkenberg and Ocon.

A 1m43.747s to go 0.4s ahead of Russell. 

Norris is 0.040s ahead of Leclerc. Verstappen, Tsunoda, Albon, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Bearman, Sainz and Lawson.

A worrying sign for Piastri as he's forced to get out of his car. Norris has gone fastest with a 1m44.274s, 0.8s ahead of Albon.

Hadjar is on top with a 1m45.904s, 0.010s ahead of Russell. 

He's told to keep "low revs". Sky Sports' Bernie Collins thinks it's PU-system related. 

There's no doubt that Baku is Leclerc's strongest track on the F1 calendar. He's taken pole in the last four races here, stretching back to 2021.

Piastri arrives in the Baku paddock 31 points ahead of McLaren teammate Norris with eight rounds to go.

The Australian pulled off an impressive move on Leclerc to win in Baku 12 months ago.
