2024 F1 Spanish Grand Prix - Race - as it happened

Russell's pace has allowed the two Ferraris to close up in the battle for the podium.

Verstappen, Russell, Norris, Hamilton, Sainz, Leclerc, Gasly, Piastri, Ocon and Hulkenberg.

Verstappen is currently 1.4s ahead of Russell at the front of the field, who is running 0.9s ahead of Norris.

Hamilton is also in DRS range of the McLaren driver.

Sainz pulls a great move on Leclerc to get through.

Leclerc says over team radio: "Ah! He closed on me Carlos"

Verstappen leads! A great move from the Dutchman to get past Russell around the outside into Turn 1.
