A good couple of laps for Red Bull as Perez finally makes the move on Russell into Turn 1 for P4.

After a lock-up for Sainz into Turn 1, Verstappen is able to do the switchback and get the race lead.

Both Perez and Russell cut Turn 1 when battling for the position. Unusual.

Perez has just let Russell through now.

Sainz, Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Perez, Albon, Piastri, Norris, Hamilton and Alonso.

Russell continues to keep Perez behind into Turn 1 - they're 2.5s behind Leclerc.

He continues to keep the quicker Red Bull behind in Turn 1 in the battle for fourth.

Verstappen is still running 0.6s behind Sainz - surely it's a matter of time here?

Verstappen gets close again to the back of Sainz into Turn 1.

Leclerc is running 0.7s behind at the moment.

Perez is attacking Russell in the fight for fourth.

Russell has to go defensive into Turn 1 and manages to keep the Red Bull driver at bay.

Sainz, Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Perez, Albon, Piastri, Norris, Hamilton and Hulkenberg.

"That was naughty!" - his response to Sainz's stern defence.

Great defence from Sainz to keep Verstappen behind, who tried to go around the outside of the opening sequence of corners.

"He's already sliding a bit so, it's all OK."

Verstappen sets the fastest lap of the race - he's 0.6s behind Sainz for the race lead.

Leclerc is keeping them close company as well.

DRS has now been enabled and Verstappen is within one-second of Sainz at the front.
