Hamilton’s meat-free burgers
The seven-time Formula 1 champion became involved with Neat Burger in 2019.
Neat Burger is a chain of restaurants in London specialising in meat-free burgers, and Hamilton was among its earliest investors.
Hamilton adopted a meat-free diet himself in 2017.
Hamilton said last year: “We created Neat Burger to make plant-based eating more accessible to everyone whether you eat plant-based all the time or just want to add it to your diet every now and again. The response to Neat Burger since we opened has been incredible.”
He became an investor alongside the owner of the Cirque de Soir nightclub chain which has venues in London and Mykonous.
Farming with Justin Timberlake?
Singer Justin Timberlake and actress Natalie Portman are among Hamilton’s fellow investors in Bowery Farming, the largest vertical farming company in the United States which is now valued at more than £2.3 billion.
Joining forces with Roger Federer and Jeff Bezos
Hamilton, tennis legend Roger Federer and billionaire Jeff Bezos are investors in NotCo, a plant-based food-tech startup.
The company was valued at $1.5 billion after Hamilton and Federer became involved last year.
NotCo makes vegan food using an Artificial Intelligence algorithm called ‘Giuseppe’.
Drinks company with Cindy Crawford
Hamilton is among a group of investors including actor Hugh Jackman, model Cindy Crawford and musician Steve Aoki in Green Drink, a health and wellness products business.
Online grocery app
Hamilton is a recent backer of Zapp, an on-demand grocery startup app.
Zapp launched just two years ago but has already raised £150 million in funding - which includes Hamilton’s investment.
