Fiorano test - day 2: 2nd May.

Ferrari began the second day of testing today at Fiorano. Both Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello were in action the Brazilian setting a new lap record.

Both drivers worked on electronics testing, while Rubens also worked on a tyre programme. The day's work began at 10 am and ended at six in the evening. Badoer did a total of 65 laps (8 short) and Rubens did 68 (12 on the short version of the track). The Brazilian was quickest doing a lap in 59.560 seconds while Badoer's best time was 1 minute 00.032 seconds.

"It was a positive day," commented Barrichello after testing. "We did some electronics and tyre testing. The track temperature was very high, so I didn't think it would be possible to do any very quick times. However, the car was going very well and I managed to do the best lap for this track." Testing continues tomorrow, again with Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello driving.
