Kubica enjoys ‘productive’ second Williams test
Robert Kubica has undergone a second private Formula 1 test for Williams as the team assesses his chances for a dramatic return in 2018.
The Polish driver enjoyed his second test with Williams after an opening one-day run in the 2014-specification car last week at Silverstone. As part of the testing arrangement, Kubica has completed a second day of private testing at the Hungaroring which the British team has described as ‘productive’.

The Polish driver enjoyed his second test with Williams after an opening one-day run in the 2014-specification car last week at Silverstone. Williams is aiming to complete its evaluation of Kubica on Wednesday by running a comparison test with reserve driver Paul di Resta at the Hungarian circuit.
Kubica is aiming for an F1 comeback for 2018 having been away from the sport since 2010 after suffering a horrific rallying crash at the start of 2011 which left him with partial use of his right forearm.
The Polish driver is up against di Resta and current driver Felipe Massa for a race seat at Williams alongside Lance Stroll for 2018.
Kubica was denied an opportunity at Renault after the French manufacturer opted to take on Carlos Sainz Jr on a one-year loan from Red Bull.
