Pirelli has been trialling a number of different compound options for 2018 while testing with teams this year, and confirmed after Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix it would be expanding its tyre range for next season.
A new, pink-walled tyre will be introduced that is a step softer than the current ultra-soft tyre, offering more grip while being less durable, making it ideal for street circuits and low-degradation tracks.
Pirelli issued a tweet on Sunday inviting fans to pick the name of the tyre, offering a selection of 'mega-soft', 'extreme-soft' and 'hyper-soft' for the new compound.
Pirelli raced with a pink-walled tyre at the United States Grand Prix last month as part of a race-wide scheme to raise awareness for breast cancer, with the colour adorning the ultra-soft compound.
Pirelli has one final tyre test remaining this year, with two days of running planned at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi following the season-ending grand prix.
