Six-time Formula 1 world champion Hamilton and nine-time motorcycle world champion Rossi took part in a long-awaited crossover event at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on Monday, as arranged by mutual sponsor Monster Energy.
The event saw Hamilton continue to add to his growing experience on two wheels - coming one year on from a Superbike test at Jerez - as he sampled a MotoGP bike, while Rossi completed his first F1 test in over nine years, driving the 2017-spec Mercedes W08 car.
A video edit has now emerged online showing some highlights of the test.

The video shows the Mercedes car decked out with Rossi's famous #46, styled in the same fashion, with his 'The Doctor' graphic also emblazoned on the rear of the steering wheel.
Hamilton can be seen wearing an all-black Monster-sponsored race suit, with his #44 placed on the front of the bike while Rossi is seen lapping alongside the Mercedes F1 driver on his Yamaha M1 MotoGP bike.
A later shot shows the pair next to each other with Rossi in the Mercedes and Hamilton on the Yamaha before sharing an embrace at the end of the test.
Hamilton posted on Instagram earlier today that the test had gone by with "no troubles at all" and that it was "the best day ever", with footage from official channels expected to follow in the near future.
