Viscaal beats Zendeli to maiden F3 win on final lap
Bent Viscaal pipped Lirim Zendeli to a maiden FIA Formula 3 win in a thrilling finale at Silverstone that concluded with a last-gasp pass to seal victory.
The MP Motorsport driver had shadowed Zendeli throughout as the pair pulled clear of the rest of the field and engaged in a private duel for the lead.
Zendeli had led the battle throughout until the final tour, when Viscaal launched an audacious pass on the Trident driver with a late dive up the inside at Copse.
Zendeli fought back around the outside at Stowe and looked to have grabbed first place back, only for Viscaal to sweep around the outside of the Vale/Club complex to snatch his first F3 win on the final corner.
WHAT A FINISH!!!

After losing the lead of the championship to Prema teammate and Saturday race victor Logan Sergeant, Oscar Piastri claimed sixth place to close back to within a point of the American, who retired after being hit by Carlin’s Cameron Das under braking at Copse.
Jake Hughes was seventh for HWA Racelab, ahead of Frederik Vesti’s Prema, Clement Novalak and teammate Enzo Fittipaldi, who secured the final point on offer in 10th.
