Sargeant and Fittipaldi complete Charouz’s F3 2021 line-up
Sargeant was a F3 title contender in 2020, finishing third overall in the drivers’ championship.
The American took three pole positions and two victories during the season, but there were doubts as to whether he had the budget to compete in another F3 campaign.
Sargeant and Fittipaldi will race alongside Frenchman Reshad de Gerus.
Speaking of the announcement, Sargeant said: "Early this year, I didn’t know if I was ever going to get in a race car again, so I was honored to get this opportunity from Charouz Racing System. I’m going to give it everything I have to put the car at the front and keep trying to build within the team. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Fittipaldi also competed in F3 last season for the HWA Racelab outfit, where he finished 15th in the standings with a best finish of fourth at Mugello.
He is also the grandson of two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi.
"I am really happy for the chance that team owner Antonin Charouz and team manager Bob Vavřík gave me. It will definitely be a challenge since I didn’t do any of the pre-season testing but I will do my best with this opportunity. I'm looking forward to the first race weekend in Barcelona!”
Charouz will be hoping its all-new driver line-up can move it from the bottom of the teams’ standings after finishing tenth in 2020.
The new F3 season kicks off this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
