2016 Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg made his much-anticipated return to the track on Saturday in Berlin as he completed a demonstration run behind the wheel of the new 'Gen2' Formula E car that will be used in the series from the start of its fifth season.
While Rosberg stressed he was having no thoughts about returning to motorsport after announcing his retirement from racing just days after winning the F1 title in Abu Dhabi, the German nevertheless enjoyed his first run-out in Formula E machinery, having become an investor in the series last month.

Rosberg got the chance to put in a number of flying laps around the circuit at Tempelhof Airport which hosted the Berlin E-Prix later in the day, pushing to the limit despite a couple of moments where he ran wide and nearly touched the wall.
