GP2 Series:
Adam Congratulations on your first pole position in the GP2 series, and it's happened here at your home track. You must be delighted.

Adam Carroll:
Oh for sure. It's great to get the pole after the start to the season we've had. The car's been getting better and better but it's hard because you don't get the time to go away for a few days and test, so it's only during the races that you can try and sort the car out and get back there. I think Barcelona was good, we were quick in the race, but unfortunately we couldn't quite get the podium in the end. I knew we were going to turn it around at some time, and I really wanted to do it here, to turn everything around and be at the front, and to be there with Lewis is even better.

GP2 Series:
The times were phenomenally close, four thousandths between the top two and less than a tenth between all three of you. Do you think that's a reflection of how close it will be in the race tomorrow?

Adam:
I hope so. It's a hard place to race at and we're all very close as you say, so we can have a good battle and we'll see what happens. I think it just goes to show how strong the championship is and how close things are to have four drivers that close around a track like this.

GP2 Series:
You've got these two red and white guys between you. They've won a few races between them this year. Do you think you can hold them off tomorrow?

Adam:
I'm going to try my best. We'll soon find out.

GP2 Series:
Lewis, front row for you on your first time driving the full grand prix circuit here. What do you make of the track?

Lewis Hamilton:
The track is great to drive. I'd only driven the international circuit in F Renault in 2002 or something like that, so to finally get on the GP circuit is a great feeling and to be on our home circuit is even better, and to be on the front row is a great start for us.

GP2 Series:
Just a tiny fraction behind, did you know on that lap that you were that close?

Lewis:
I had no idea. The lap before I was quick and I just had to make sure I got a good clean lap and I came round and I was third, but obviously because of Piquet we went second, but still it's a good result for us.

GP2 Series:
You've been getting a lot of media attention recently, talk of F1. Has that made it difficult to focus on the job at hand?

Lewis:
No you just put it aside and don't really focus on it, you know? You let everyone else do the talking, and I'll just continue with my job. What's important for me is to remain focussed on the GP2.

GP2 Series:
Alex, third on the grid and lining up directly behind Adam. Do you think you're going to be able to get the start and beat Lewis into the first corner?

Alex Pr?mat: Yeah I think we will see. I think that Adam did a really good pole position because it was really fast. Congratulations. For tomorrow this is a long race and I think that the fight will be really good in the race. My objective is to finish the race and have good consistent results. But we need to keep the tyres otherwise...

GP2 Series:
Last time out in Monaco you didn't have the best of starts, have you been working on that?

Alex:
Yeah. I've been looking a lot at the data. I did a mistake in the start in Monaco, but I won't do the same thing again - it won't happen.

GP2 Series:
One final question to Adam. Last year you had a bit of a shocker here. Do you think Silverstone owes you one?

Adam:
It's not the circuit's fault. It doesn't know any different. It'd be really good to come away with the win. It'd be good for the team. It's just been so hard so, you know, I think everybody is owed one and I'm going to try and do that tomorrow.
