Nakano suffers testing crash.
Formula One refugee Shinji Nakano blotted his CART copybook by hitting the Milwaukee wall just days after scoring points on his Homestead debut.
The Japanese Champcar rookie was unconcious as medics lifted him from his broken Walker Racing Reynard, but had come to his senses befor being transferred to the local hospital for tests. A combination of CAT scans and X-rays later confirmed nothing untoward with the driver - although he had initially complained of a sore neck - and he was subsequently released by Dr Jonathan Rubin, emergency medicine physician at the hospital.

Observers reported that Nakano lost control of the Avex-sponsored car entering turn two at the Mile, spun and hit the wall early in the session. He had already completed an entire days running, with no incidents, at the circuit on Thursday .
Although this is a small setback for us in preparing for the Nazareth race next weekend, we fully expect to be racing on 9 April, said team boss Derrick Walker. The good news is that Shinji is fine and, after a short break, will be back racing next week.
