Greg Moore honoured with new awards.
The late Greg Moore was commemorated in his home town when the Molson Indy Vancouver witnessed the unveiling of two memorial awards in his honour.
The most prestigious of these is the Greg Moore Legacy Award, which will be presented to the driver adjudged by CART to have typified the all-round embodiment of the Canadian's personality. Talent on the track will not be enough for candidates to earn a nomination, for Moore was also a firm favourite with the media and fans, and put as much back into CART activities as he took out.

Potential winners of the award will not just come from the Champcar series, however, as CART attempts to involve its support series, Indy Lights and Toyota Atlantic, in the nomination proceedings. At least one driver from each of the three championships will be represented in the final voting, with nominations released following the Houston race on 1 October.
The first winner of the Greg Moore Legacy Award will be revealed at the annual CART Awards Banquet on 30 October.
The organisers of last weekend's Molson Indy Vancouver added their own tribute to Moore's memory, with the inauguration of a special pole award in his name.
Fittingly, Moore's closest friend on the Champcar tour, Dario Franchitti, was the first recipient of the trophy, after holding off Team Green team-mate Paul Tracy on Saturday.
