Remy Gardner made the right tyre choice and pulled away from title rival Raul Fernandez in the Moto2 Algarve Grand Prix at Portimao.

Pedro Acosta becomes the first rookie Moto3 champion after winning the Algarve Grand Prix, as Dennis Foggia was taken out by Darryn Binder on the final lap.

Raul Fernandez claimed his seventh pole of the season to keep his title challenge on course as Remy Gardner responded for second in qualifying for the Moto2 Algarve Grand Prix at Portimao. 

Sergio Garcia marked his track return with a lap record to secure pole as the title battle looks set to heat up from lower down the grid after qualifying for the Algarve Moto3 race at Portimao.
