The largest-ever auction of modern F1 cars and memorabilia came to a highly successful conclusion on Saturday with Minardi Team Principal Paul Stoddart, and auctioneers Bache Treharne, pronouncing themselves extremely pleased with the overall result of the sale.

It's still two weeks to go until the start of Paul Stoddart's auction of F1 cars, equipment and memorabilia, but already the numbers make impressive reading.

For the third year in succession, the Renault F1 Team is joining forces with Oxfam, the international development charity, to raise money for its work around the world. The team is providing unique items, including overalls and car parts, which will be auctioned online.
