Seven-time NASCAR title winner Richard Petty has revealed that he is to lodge an entry into the Indianapolis 500 for the first time, fielding the #43 Window World Dallara for John Andretti.

Window World has combined the names of Petty and Andretti for the 93rd running of the Indy 500, bringing together seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty and Indy 500/NASCAR veteran John Andretti to campaign the #43 Window World Dallara-Honda in conjunction with the Dreyer & Reinbold team.

Despite having appeared pessimistic about his chances of landing a seat for the 'greatest spectacle in racing', John Andretti will attempt to qualify for his ninth Indianapolis 500 having replaced Jay Howard in the #24 Roth Racing car for Pole Day.

John Andretti will drive the #1 Pennzoil sponsored Chevrolet owned by Dale Earnhardt Incorporated in the majority of the final eleven races of the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup season starting with next Saturday's Chevy Rock 'n Roll 400 at the Richmond International Raceway.
