Josh Brookes has taken the new Ducati Panigale V4 R to its maiden Bennetts British Superbike Championship pole position in only its second outing at Oulton Park after a dominant showing by the Australian in qualifying.

Peter Hickman made history with a stunning 135mph lap as he won the blue riband Senior TT on Friday. The Smiths Racing BMW rider set a new outright lap record of 135.452mph on the final lap to defeat Dean Harrison by just two seconds.

Peter Hickman (Smiths Racing BMW) claimed his first victory at the Isle of Man TT Races when he took a sensational RL360 Superstock race by 4.4s from Michael Dunlop (MD Racing BMW) with Dean Harrison (Silicone Engineering Kawasaki) in third.

Smiths Racing BMW has re-signed Peter Hickman for the 2018 MCE British Superbike championship and the road racing season while also signing Sylvain Barrier for his debut in the British series.

Peter Hickman had the upper hand again at Dundrod as the Smiths BMW rider topped the times in three classes, setting a new qualifying record to claim provisional pole in the Superbike class at the MCE Ulster Grand Prix.
