Portimao Moto2 Test Results - Monday, Day 3 (Session 3)

Rookie Pedro Acosta will head into his debut Moto2 season having been fastest during the Official test at Portimao.

The reigning Moto3 world champion, remaining with Red Bull KTM Ajo for his rise to the intermediate class, set the test best of 1m 41.552s during the opening session of Monday's third and final day.

Team-mate Augusto Fernandez then got closest to Acosta with a 1m 41.706s on his way to the top of Session 2. New Pons rider Aron Canet was the only other competitor to break the 1m 42s barrier.

Just five riders then took to the track for the final Session 3, which was led by Joe Roberts.

Sam Lowes didn't ride on the final day, due to tendonitis.

The Qatar season-opener takes place on March 4-6.
