MotoGP Gossip: "I never looked at records", says Marquez

Marc Marquez has revealed he never looked at title records when challenging for the MotoGP championship. The Spaniard said “I have never looked at the records or the number of world titles won: I was driving for the dream of winning the world championship and after having done it every year is a new adventure where we try to grow in and out of the track." - Gazzetta

Aprilia rider Sam Lowes has named Valentino Rossi as his favourite rider of all time. The British rider explained “he's done his thing on and off the track for a very long time. The fact that he wins races after so long and still loves everything makes him the best of all time." - Speed Week

After claiming a second place finish in this season’s title race, Andrea Dovizioso believes this season has created a base on which to improve upon. The Ducati rider said “It has been a magical year for many reasons, what we have done is create a base on which we have to improve. We are aware of the reason why we have been competitive this year, we have known, above all, the motorcycle, every year is a story." - Marca

Former Superbike World Championship winner, Carlos Checa, is hoping for 2018’s title race to be fought between Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso again. The Spanish rider said “I do not think we see drastic changes, the bikes are going to be the same and there have not been major team changes, so I’m hoping for a season to continue where it stayed, with Marc and Dovi in front again." - AS
