MotoGP Gossip: Jorge Lorenzo eyeing Misano, Motegi wildcards?
- While his plans to return to the MotoGP grid in Barcelona has so far been scuppered by the indefinite pause on racing, Jorge Lorenzo has hinted it wouldn’t necessarily be a one-off wildcard. He also wants to race at Misano – where has previously been quick – and at Motegi too. His chances for both are high when you consider Misano event precedes a one-day test, while Motegi is of course Yamaha’s home event. (Cadenasr)

- Though Carmelo Ezpeleta has dismissed the notion of combining MotoGP and WorldSBK events in order to get both championships completed this year, Genesio Bevilacqua – team boss of 2011 WorldSBK champions Althea Racing – feels it is the only way to keep the WorldSBK series functioning until restrictions are eased (GPOne.com)
- Jack Miller’s manager Aki Ajo has emphasised the Australian remains a free agent for the 2021 MotoGP season but adds his preferred choice is to remain with Ducati. The 25-year old is currently competing with the satellite Pramac Racing team and has made it clear he is chasing a factory Ducati ride for 2021 but could be willing to look around if he doesn’t secure a promotion.
