LIVE UPDATES: Friday practice from the Spanish MotoGP at Jerez

Espargaro claims top spot from Vinales and Pedrosa. 

Bagnaia, Bezzecchi and Quartararo are all out of the top ten and will go through Q1. 

Wow! The factory Aprilia riders have beaten Pedrosa's time. Espargaro leads from Vinales. 

Alex Rins has crashed at turn six and won't be able to improve again in this session. 

It really is crunch time for Quartararo who is only 16th at present.

Aside from Vinales who went faster than his P1 time, it appears as though conditions are proving tough for riders to overcome. 

Vinales goes third fastest after continuing his dominant showing in sector four. 

It's time for the all-important qualifiyng runs with under 15 minutes to go. 

Davide Tardozzi has confirmed Bagnaia is struggling with front-end feeling. A big worry considering it's usually his biggest strength. 

It looks as though Bastianini is set for a very long weekend if he chooses to continue. The Italian is 21st in this session but is unable to string several laps together. 

Big blow up for Marco Bezzecchi heading towards turn six. The Italian has got off his Ducati. 

Movement at the top of the P2 times as Aleix Espargaro goes quickest from championship leader Bezzecchi. 

We're back underway!

It's not a second fall for Lecuona, but instead as a result of the fall early on. 

Red flag! Lecuona's bike has caused damage to the air fence. 

Nakagami goes quickest in this session. The Honda rider currently leads the way ahead of Alex Marquez and Quartararo. 

It's not third time lucky for Mir as the Spaniard has crashed in sector three. 

Brad Binder is still without a lap time so far in Practice 2 - 15 minutes of the session have passed. 

Crash for Iker Lecuona. it appears to be a fall at the final corner. 

Quartararo remains 18th on combined times after electing not to set a time attack in P1. But with track conditions much warmer it could be a mistake. 

Like in Practice 1, Vinales has headed back into pit lane after his out lap to practice his starts.
