Honda to present Simoncelli's father with RC212V
Honda Racing Corporation will present Marco Simoncelli's father with two special bikes during next weekend's Italian MotoGP at Mugello.
Paolo Simoncelli will receive Marco's RC212V race machine - an extremely rare gesture - and also a 'Super SIC' inspired Honda CBR1000RR.
The bikes will be presented by Shuhei Nakamoto, HRC Executive-Vice President, and Minoru Kato, Honda Europe Motorcycle Division Director.
The special edition Honda CBR will be auctioned off to raise money for The Marco Simoncelli Foundation: http://www.marcosimoncellifondazione.it/
Former 250cc world champion Simoncelli lost his life during a racing incident at Sepang last October.
The Italian was in his second season of MotoGP, during which he had claimed his first poles and podiums, and had been a Honda rider since joining the premier-class.
