Lorenzo, Yamaha 'definitely stronger' at Brno
After playing catch-up for most of the Indianapolis weekend, Yamaha team manager Wilco Zeelenberg believes MotoGP title leader Jorge Lorenzo can go on the attack this weekend at Brno.
Lorenzo finished a distant second to nearest championship rival Dani Pedrosa (Honda) at Indianapolis - but had been just seventh quickest at the end of the three free practice sessions on the slippery asphalt.
"Indianapolis was a difficult weekend for us from the start, the end result of second was really good considering and now we are back at a track where we can definitely be stronger," said Zeelenberg.
"Brno is a very smooth fast track which Jorge likes a lot and which suits the M1 well so we're confident of a good result here."
Lorenzo won at Brno during his 2010 title season, but finished just fourth last season after a soft tyre choice in the race. The Spaniard will be seeking his sixth victory f the year on Sunday.
"After very little rest we are back in Europe at Brno, a track I really like and where I got a great victory in 2010 on my way to the title," said Lorenzo. "Our tyre choice last year made it difficult to fight for the podium but think this year with the 1000cc we can definitely fight at the front."
Following the grand prix, Yamaha will join many of its rivals in testing at Brno on Monday.
