Andrea Dovizioso arrived at Tech 3 looking to revive his career after being frozen out of Honda's slimmed down factory line-up.
He left as Tech 3's most successful rider - courtesy of six podium finishes and fourth in the championship - and with a factory Ducati contract in his pocket for 2013 and 2014.
Often out-qualified by team-mate Cal Crutchlow, Dovizioso consistently turned the tables on race day, outscoring the Englishman in 13 of the 18 rounds. Dovizioso also had fourth in the standings - as the top satellite rider - wrapped up before the Valencia finale.
Dovizioso rises one place relative to his position in your 2011 Rider of the Year ranking, his average score increasing from 7.07 last year.
