Austin MotoGP: Abraham out with broken collarbone
Karel Abraham has withdrawn from the inaugural Circuit of the Americas MotoGP after fracturing his collarbone in a qualifying clash with Bryan Staring.
The pair made contact, and both fell, after Abraham attempted to overtake the Australian.
Abraham underwent an examination in the MotoGP Mobile Clinic, which showed a dislocated break of the right collarbone. The Cardion AB Aprilia rider was then driven to University Hospital in Austin, where he will undergo surgery.
