Rossi explains `wooden` helmet...

As is almost traditional, reigning world champion Valentino Rossi turned up at his home event sporting some new livery in the form of a revised helmet design - inspired by his recent lack of podiums!

"In Italy we have a joke that if you come fourth you get a wooden medal; after 23 podiums in a row I arrived fourth for the last two races, so we decided to make a wooden-looking helmet design with a four on the front!" explained Vale.

Rossi has a strong chance of returning to the top three in tomorrow's Italian Grand Prix, after qualifying third on the grid.
