Lorenzo sets all-time fastest Sepang lap!
The final day of 2018 MotoGP testing at Sepang has got off to a memorable start.
A dry track for the first time this week saw quick laps from the 10am track-opening time, culminating in Ducati's Jorge Lorenzo setting a stunning 1m 58.830s just before midday.
That beats the unofficial all-time lap record of 1m 58. 867s, set by Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez during 2015 pre-season testing.
The fastest official lap, during a race weekend, is a 1m 59.053s by Marquez's team-mate Dani Pedrosa in 2015 (the final year of Bridgestone tyres).
