Jorge Lorenzo launches new 99Seconds MotoGP program on YouTube

Since retiring in 2019, and losing his role as Yamaha test rider last season, Jorge Lorenzo has not been shy to voice his opinions on riders and all things MotoGP. 

It's fair to say the five-time world champion across all three classes has not been in the business of making friends. 

Most recently, Lorenzo was involved in a social media spat with Jack Miller and Aleix Espargaro after comments made about Cal Crutchlow crashing at the Official MotoGP test in Qatar. 

This all started when Lorenzo was replaced at the end of the 2020 season by the British rider and called the move 'exchanging gold for bronze'.

Lorenzo's new program called 99Seconds will be a weekly broadcast on his YouTube channel where he analyses riders, teams and circuits. 

Speaking about what you can expect to see, Lorenzo said: "My experience in the circuits throughout my career can give a different vision to the spectators and they also know that I am not going to restrain myself in my analysis.

"Jorge has always defended his authenticity and his way of saying what he thinks. 99seconds is not a program like others, on my channel I will be myself and for sure we will have fun." 

In addition to the new 99Seconds program, Lorenzo is working on several other projects that he hinted at. 

Lorenzo added: "I have formed a new team and we are working on new projects, both in the short and long term, that many fans have been asking me for a long time and that will surely be very powerful.

"We are organizing international events, collaborations with other drivers, agreements with new brands, raffles for fans… I want to give back to the racing world everything that these years have given me, and these new challenges will have the Jorge Lorenzo stamp 100%."

If the show is anything like his social media activity of the past few months, which all signs point towards, it is sure to be explosive and one you won't want to miss.
