Crash.net MotoGP podcast with Keith Huewen: Rossi's last dance, Gardner glory
This week's episode of the Crash.net MotoGP podcast featuring Keith Huewen discusses the season-ending Valencia Grand Prix and Valentino Rossi's career final race.
Huewen, Crash.net MotoGP editor Peter McLaren and Podcast host Harry Benjamin reflect on both Rossi's farewell ride and amazing career, during which he has helped take the sport to new heights on and off the track.
Up front, the race was won by Francesco Bagnaia with the podium dominated by three Ducatis, much to the concern of former champion Joan Mir (Suzuki) and reigning champion Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).
But there were further costly mistakes for Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Rins, while KTM finished the season with a whimper.
The Moto2 class was the only title still to be decided, with Remy Gardner - son of Keith's former rival Wayne – enduring a tense race to take the title by just four points over rookie team-mate Raul Fernandez.
Moto3 saw more chaos, 2022 MotoGP rider Darryn Binder highsiding on the opening lap while Dennis Foggia clashed with newly crowned champion Pedro Acosta, leaving the KTM rider on the ground and receiving a three-second penalty.
The team also answer questions sent in by the listeners, before a final tally is made of the trio's race predictions, with Harry scooping Rookie of the Year!
