Austrian MotoGP - Free Practice (2) Results
Marquez takes over at the top during FP2 for the Austrian MotoGP at Red Bull Ring, despite staying on a used (soft) rear tyre at the end of the session while most others fitted fresh rubber.
The Repsol Honda rider also tried the latest RCV fairing, previously used by team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, while morning pacesetter Dovizioso fell in the closing stages.
Ducati has won all three previous races at the Red Bull Ring since the circuit returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2016, and it is the only track on the current calendar where Marquez has not yet won.

Joan Mir has withdrawn from the event to continue his recovery from Monday's post-race fall at the Brno test. Jorge Lorenzo is again absent after fractures to his vertebrae at Assen and replaced by HRC test and wild-card rider Bradl.
