The 2021 MotoE season and title fight comes to a controversial conclusion as Dominique Aegerter collides with title rival and points leader Jordi Torres during a last lap pass, leaving the Spaniard on the ground while Aegerter won the race and championship.
Or so they thought.
The FIM MotoGP Stewards then imposed a 38-second penalty (the equivalent to a ride-through) on Aegerter for the final lap collision, meaning a tearful Torres was named as a double MotoE champion...
