2010 Suzuki MotoGP machine to lap TT course
The Suzuki GSV-R800 Loris Capirossi rode in opening round of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship will lap the Isle of Man TT course this year.
Two-times TT winner Cameron Donald will take control of the Suzuki GSV-R800 for the lap of the Mountain course as part of the celebrations to mark 50 years of Suzuki in international racing.
It is the first time for decades that a current Grand Prix machine has lapped the legendary TT circuit.
And in case Australian Donald needs any tips on riding the MotoGP bike, Capirossi will be on hand as he is also making a guest appearance during the TT.
The veteran Italian will join a special parade lap to mark the Suzuki anniversary, riding a GSX-R1000 around the course alongside other famous names on classic Suzuki machines.
The Suzuki celebrations also see Suzuki GB become the Official Motorcycle Partner for this year's TT and provide motorcycles for the travelling marshals. It is also supporting an exhibition of Suzuki history to be held at the Manx Museum throughout the race fortnight and is backing the famous Ramsey Sprint events, the Laxey Moddey Dhoo meeting and the parade of Suzuki machines on Senior Race Day.
