Comptons joins Short-track spectacle
The Scunthorpe Scorpions' very own Benji Compton will compete in the Christmas Cracker Short Track meeting to be raced at the Scunthorpe Raceway on Saturday 30th December and joining him will be his road racing brother, Dijon Compton.
Benji, who has scored close to 600 points for the Scorpions during their first two seasons, will want to show the established Short Track stars that he knows the quickest way around his home track whilst his brother will be hoping to improve on his impressive third place from last year.

With an exceptionally strong field which includes Short Track riders like 2006 title holder Lee Complin, Pete Boast, Tim Greig and Steven Hall along with Road Racing superstars Neil Hodgson, Chris Walker, John McGuinness and Steve Plater the pair are unlikely to have it all their own way.
The action starts at 1pm and is sure to provide motorcycle racing-starved fans with some fantastic off-season action. There will also be a support class of quad racing. Admission ?8.50 Adult, ?6.00 OAP'S, Children 5 to 15 ?3.00 and under 5 Free, ?20.00 Family ticket (2 Adults, 2 children).
