Brad Jones Racing's two Ford V8 Supercars will don a brand new livery for the coming season, following the announcement that it has secured a new sponsorship deal with global gas giant BOC.

The two cars, to be piloted once again by Jones and John Bowe, will also find themselves carrying unfamiliar numbers following the end of its deal with previous sponsor OzEmail, with the #12 and #21 exchanging last year's distinctive colour scheme for another, this time predominantly red-and-white, as BOC steps up to the senior V8 series after a championship-winning year in the former Konica Minolta series in 2004.

"We were very happy with the results that both V8 Supercars and BJR achieved for us last year and, when the opportunity arose to have two BOC cars in the main V8 Supercar championship, we quickly snapped it up," explained BOC director of marketing Bruce Currie, "The fit of V8 Supercars with our industrial and welding markets is exceptional, and BJR have proven that they have the on- and off-track expertise to produce the types of results that BOC demands."

The two cars were unveiled for the first time at an official team launch in Sydney's Circular Quay, with team principal Jones clearly looking forward to the new season.

"I cannot tell you how excited we are about 2005," he enthused, "To have BOC stepping up to support us in the main series is a real honour, and I guess somewhat of a pat on the back at the same time.

"There's also a significant reason for us launching our season campaign early. We wanted to let our fans and other partners know exactly what 2005 had in store for BJR and also sound a very strong message that this will be the most dynamic season for BJR as an outfit."

Jones's thoughts were echoed by veteran team-mate Bowe, who is looking to improve on his top ten championship finish of last season.

"Firstly, I'd like to congratulate and thank BOC for the faith they have put in our team," he said, "There's no doubt that we are one of the hardest working teams in the category, and that's why we have always punched above our weight.

"I'm really looking forward to 2005, and having a fresh naming rights partner just adds that extra spice to it all. After driving competitively for over 20 years, I don't think that I have ever been as excited as I am about this year, and I really think it will be successful."
