Russell Ingall has officially unveiled the new-look livery he will campaign in this year's Australian V8 Supercar Championship as part of the opening day celebrations at the Brisbane International Motor Show.

Ingall's new BA Ford Falcon features a mixture of Caltex green and silver with a large Vortex 98 logo down each side which will help promote long-time backer Caltex's high octane fuel. The car will make its debut in the support races at next month's Foster's Australian Grand Prix, having been built from the ground up at the Stone Brothers Racing workshop, but Ingall will get the chance to put it through its paces at the team's first test of the season at Queensland Raceway in a couple of weeks' time.

"I think it looks pretty mean," the driver admitted, "I think the designers have got it pretty right with this one, although both my cars in the last two years with SBR have been terrific. This one should stand out well on television and, hopefully, we will get plenty of air time again this season. I just can't wait to get out there and get on with it."

Although Ingall finished second in last year's championship to SBR team-mate Marcos Ambrose, he will continue to carry the #9 - and not #2 - on the Caltex Ford in 2005.

"So many people have enquired about which number we would be using this season," Ingall explained, "The only 'floating' number is the #1, and Marcos has that on the side of his car. I like #9, but there is no doubt that I am keen to wrestle the #1 off him this year and head into 2006 with it on the side of my Falcon!"
