Craig Lowndes took a double victory in the Gillette V8 Supercar Challenge at Surfers Paradise, a solitary Ford leading seven Holdens across the line in the last race of three at the Queensland street course.
Lowndes took victory whilst championship leader Russell Ingall suffered having to start the race from tenth on the grid due to falling foul of the first race of the day's dual speed pitlane limit and then a race seeing the Caltex Falcon fall back to finish twenty-fourth.
